AMAZING CLASS, INCREDIBLE FUN

Lisa has been teaching classes somewhere between 12 and 14 years now.  It's been a really fun ride and it is amazing to look back at what she taught in the beginning and what she teaches now.  "We've come a long way baby" just to paraphrase a well known saying.  Week before last Lisa taught a really fun "SheArt" style canvas class.   We'd had so many requests to teach the canvases I've created and set out as samples of ways to use the products we carry so we set out to create a class that could be done in a 2-3 hour time span.  Ours looked like this.....

On class night, Lisa threw out a couple of 6x6 paper pads and had everyone choose what they wanted to use for the dress, parasol, and body parts.  You could choose any combination or use what we used.  Then she put out a number of paints and brush markers.  With a little direction, everyone started in.  The results were incredible!  Here's a collage of the artists and their creations....  I wanted to keep them all and make a wall of them here in the shop.

I hope Lisa will find the time to create more classes for experimentation.... I know this one was so much fun for all.  It was certainly an exciting experiment for Lisa and me!  Next experimental class is the Don't Chunk It Continues.  You get to create your own masterpieces on junk mail.  It's Sunday, June 9th and there are still a few spaces left so call and reserve yours today!

Told you there would be more!  We got a shipment from Melissa Frances yesterday.  Such cool stuff.

Christy Tomlinson by Pink Paislee.  It's sold out and Pink Paislee isn't going to reprint.  We got the last little bit our distributor had.  When it's gone, it's gone.  Be sure you get yours before that happens!

Great selection of "How to" Art books.  There are some new ones you will want that will help you spread your artistic wings!  I know I need the help.....

Ok, so these things aren't new - they're old.  Old enough to be on sale that is!  Added a whole new batch of things to the sale area in the back part of the classroom.  If you are a bargain hunter, this is the place for you.

We got some more new stuff this morning.  I'll tell ya about all that tomorrow, but for now here's an update on...

Got the samples from Dina.  Ask me and I'll show ya!  They are so cool.  Dina will be teaching 4 fabulous classes....  "Dying for Dylusions", Encaustic Tag Book - "Dear Self", Introduction to Art Journaling, and Chunky Background Techniques Book.  Hope you will be taking advantage of this fab opportunity!

It was another day in Paradise Saturday when we held our monthly Demo Day.  We shared a lovely Make-It-Take-It which was provided to us by Impression Obsession.  As usual, I failed to take a picture of it, but it was a really cute card using some of their brand new dies.  I'll get a picture posted later this week. 

As you know, Lisa's class schedule for the following month debuts on Demo Day.  She has unleashed her creativity once again to provide you with a very nice selection of cards and projects for June.

You may have seen this little project sitting up front by the Perfect Pearl Sprays.  You will create a beautiful accordian book using a sheet of the ATC 12x12 paper from the Almanac collection by Prima.  You will also create the tiny box to hold it.

What?  Get Ready, Get Set, Go?  I'm just thinkin' out loud.  And I'm thinkin' that I may just explode with excitement.  Demo Day is this Saturday (tomorrow).  You know how much fun that is....  and I am excited for it to get here.  BUT, what I'm really getting excited about is still a secret. Let me just say that there will be a very special event on the calender this summer.

It's very artsy and you won't want to miss it..... I'm still working out the details, but it's definately on the calendar for July 13-15. OOOH  I am soooo excited!
